ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. ENTSO-E coordinates the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which covers 36 countries.

The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels is the focal point for technical, market and policy questions for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfillment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with European Commission, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders. The ENTSO-E Secretariat is a multinational team of more than 100 staff, including secondments from member companies.

The role of the TSOs and their cooperation in ENTSO-E is crucial to ensuring the security of supply; completing the largest and most competitive electricity market in the world; and successfully introducing large volumes of renewable energy into the system. The scope and diversity of ENTSO-E's work has grown rapidly and is expected to grow further with the implementation of network codes and the EU’s Energy Union.

Key objectives the internship will focus on:

With the supervision of a manager:

Understand the expectations and challenges to deliver the ENTSO-E ICT implementation plan based on the ENTSO-E ICT Strategy.
Support the Steering Group ICT Strategy and coordinate the task force to deliver the ENTSO-E ICT implementation plan and a Target Operating Model.
Manage the project of delivering the implementation plan: strategic reporting, follow up of tasks, risk management.

Requirements:

Be a current full-time student at an university in the EU.
Set up an internship agreement between the university & ENTSO-E.
Be available on a full-time basis for a minimum of 6 months.
Be eligible to travel and stay in Belgium for the duration of the traineeship.
Provide proof of health insurance coverage by university
Be a fluent communicator in English.
Strong appetite for European Energy system, Electricity Grid, Project Management, Information & Communication Technologies
Enjoy collaborating in an international environment.

Provide support to the working groups and task teams working on the ICT Networks area.
Provide support in any ICT Networks activity needs to be coordinated between ENTSO-E and our members (Feedback collection, complex incidents resolution, technical migrations or implementations, etc)
Prepare status reports for the ongoing activities to be presented on the ENTSO-E Working Groups, Steering Groups or Committees.

Your profile
