ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels provides support on technical, market and policy developments for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfilment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with EU decision-makers, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders.

Job description
We are looking for a highly professional and skilled Market Advisor, passionate about the European electricity market and the energy transition. Are you ready to interact at the highest level within an international and future thinking organisation? If yes, ENTSO-E is the right place for you.
The successful candidate will work at ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels. In this role you will work for the Market & Operations section, reporting directly to the Market Integration Manager. Our dynamic team is currently comprised of 5 skilled internal and external staff and is looking for a new team member who is an expert on capacity calculation and flow based methodology. In this role, you will play an important role in the implementation of the Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management (CACM) and Forward Capacity Allocation (FCA) guidelines. You will support and provide expertise to working groups and project teams under the Market Committee of ENTSO-E and to the Capacity Calculation Regions (CCR) using the flow-based methodologies for capacity calculation.
Thanks to your technical expertise, communication and service-oriented mindset, you will help facilitating the cooperation between TSO experts in capacity calculation, manage the interactions with the relevant internal ENTSO-E teams, report and contribute actively to high-level meetings and foster a constructive collaboration with a wide array of European stakeholders.

Occasional travel may be required.
Your responsibilities
Responsibilities may be subject to change depending on the evolution of priorities and projects. The successful candidate’s responsibilities and tasks will include:
- The implementation planning and coordination of the CACM and FCA Guidelines, especially for Europe-wide and certain regional implementation of requirements in the market guidelines;
- Coordinate and support the Capacity Calculation Regions (CCR) in their implementation of the requirements in the market guidelines, in particular those related to flow-based capacity calculation;
- Monitor and report on pan-European and regional implementation projects where ENTSO-E has an observer role;
- Interact with European regulators and their agency ACER, with the European Commission, and other stakeholders, including providing information about market and implementation of requirements in the market guidelines;
- Contribute to the preparation of the Market Committee meetings, in cooperation with the other staff of the Market & Operations section, (e.g., preparing agendas, session files, presentations, decisions and draft minutes);
- Support to the day-to-day business of the Market & Operations Section in relation to the functioning of the Market Committee and its working groups, project teams.
Your profile
- Post-graduate degree in information technology, economics, electrical engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in the TSO business
- Proven expertise in the energy sector preferably in European electricity market integration issues, e.g., market design, integration of financial and physical power markets, transparency, congestion management, balancing mechanisms, renewable energy integration.
- Knowledge on flow-based capacity calculation will be highly considered.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration within the Secretariat, supporting committee members, building consensus, and clearly conveying the TSOs' work and positions to the Commission, regulators, stakeholders, politicians, and the public.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and in team setting with competing deadlines.
