ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels provides support on technical, market and policy developments for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfilment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with EU decision-makers, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders.

Job description

The Stakeholder & Engagement Analyst will play a key role in supporting ENTSO-E's communication and stakeholder engagement efforts related to system development projects. In close collaboration with the Program Management team, the Analyst will help ensure that system development strategy topics and interrelated studies, such as the Ten Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP) and the European Resource Adequacy Assessment (ERAA), are effectively communicated to key stakeholders. The position is critical for building and maintaining relationships with Transmission System Operators (TSOs), and external strategic stakeholders, including European institutions, sector organisations, and the public.
The Stakeholders Engagement Analyst works fulltime in the ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels, as part of the System Development section, reporting directly to the Program Manager. A hybrid working regime is offered, allowing a balance between in-office work and remote work.
Limited travels may be required.
Your responsibilities
The Stakeholder & Engagement Analyst will contribute to the Association work mainly in the areas of communication and stakeholder engagement on system development-related topics. Responsibilities may be subject to change depending on the evolution of priorities and projects. Key tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Provide guidance and support the execution of communication plans and strategies of system development projects and relevant cross-committee projects, with a focus on key decision makers and TSO members, and external strategicstakeholders, the general public, and authorities.
- Provide support to stakeholder engagement activities related to the TYNDP scenarios, including engagement with the Stakeholders Reference Group, develop and follow up on the stakeholder engagement plan, track and report on engagement activities.
- Support stakeholder engagement on cross-committee areas, on all topics related to offshore.
- Coordinate with external suppliers to develop communication materials and campaigns.
- Work closely with the Secretariat’s Policy, Communications & Stakeholders Management team to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication.
- Assist in preparing and updating dissemination material on system development topics, including key messages, speaking points and slides. Organise virtual and in-person events when needed.
- Engage with key stakeholders (European sector organisations, think tanks and TSOs) as well as ACER and the European Commission.
- Support the Program Manager, the Head of System Development Section and the System Development Committee’s Program Planning Manager in the overall exchange of information, proactive identification of issues and suggesting options to the project leads.
- Assist the various teams in the section during peak periods with aligning strategic objectives, coordination and internal/external communication. This includes scenario development, TYNDP studies and TYNDP external engagements, offshore studies, adequacy studies and multi-sector study pilots.
- Contribute to reporting efforts and pursuit of strategic guidance with Board and Assembly on relevant work areas.
Your Profile
We are looking for a motivated candidate with the following skills and abilities:
- University degree/diploma in communication or relevant work experience of 2-5 years.
- Experience or exposure to stakeholders’ engagement.
- Proven ability to make complex, technical topics understandable to a non-expert audience.
- Strong organisational skills with ability to plan, organise, establish priorities, collaborate effectively and drive projects to completion.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English with capability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content that communicates key messages.
- Knowledge of the energy sector, of EU policy related to energy, climate and energy infrastructure and of the energy stakeholder’s Experience in a European Association or organisation, or TSO adds is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in team setting with competing deadlines.
- Proactive and results-oriented attitude.
