Antwerp Space is a leading Belgian space engineering company and an industrial player well-recognized by the European Space Agency and the European Commission. Who are we looking for?
Required technical competences
- MSc/bachelor’s degree Electronics, Engineering
- Eligible to obtain an EU security clearance
- Newly graduated or experienced professional
- LabVIEW development experience is mandatory
- Basic understanding of digital communications theory and signal processing (modulation/demodulation in the RF communications domain)
- Basic Knowledge of Python
- Ideally some background knowledge of electronics (RF, digital, analog)
- Ideally some experience with test equipment such as a spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, etc.
- Occasional business trips mean a welcome change from your daily work
- Optional: Soldering experience and/or background is highly appreciated
- Optional: Basic Knowledge of embedded C

Where do you fit in?
The AIT team is responsible for assembly & integration support and verification of the challenging communication flight products of Antwerp Space. Within the AIT team, you are mainly responsible for the design and implementation of automated RF test systems.
You work closely with electrical engineers, system engineers, algorithm engineers, quality, and customers to integrate and verify new (prototype) products on a rapid development schedule.
As a member of the Antwerp Space AIT team, you will contribute to the many fascinating international satellite communication and navigation projects.
- Development of LabVIEW Automated RF/COMs test bench for transponders (ATE/EGSE) and communication devices for space + test scripts in LabVIEW (TVI framework) with Python support.
- Work together with system, hardware, and embedded software engineers to design an optimal system architecture and develop new products, from prototype to production with a focus on testability.
- Contribute to the technical requirements and test strategy definitions.
- Take ownership of the RF test scripts and procedures including verification, testing, and writing test reports.
- Hands-on debugging and testing in the electronics or clean lab using high end RF test equipment such as a spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, etc.
- You will be involved in documenting the environmental test procedures and participate in the verification (TVAC, EMC, Vibration) campaigns.
- Testing interfaces, typical to space products, verification: MIL-STD-1533, Space Wire, SPI, serial.
- Optional: Soldering and assembly of test cabling and harness, interface test jigs, rework of PBAs.
- Optional: Embedded Software Test Engineer – Design inputs, Coding, Testing of ANSI C embedded applications (unit testing, MISRA compliance, requirement verification, …). This role can be combined with the main role.
- Optional: Test and measurement assets management.
