About the project
Over the past years, the Transparency Platform has been one of the major projects of ENTSO-E. The ENTSO-E Transparency Platform went live on 5th January 2015 in compliance with the Transparency Regulation 543/2013 timelines, and the implementation project phase was closed in June 2015. New obligations that are coming from implementation of Network Codes/Guidelines are showing the need to extent the scope of the Transparency Platform in order to avoid the establishment of several new ENTSO-E websites.
ENTSO-E started the TP Vision project which includes several important improvements in 2017-2019. The overall objective of TP Vision Project is to make the Transparency Platform evolve from a ‘legally mandated application’ to a ‘market serving tool’, so that the platform would be able in the future to publish all necessary information that are related to the establishment and operation of an Internal Energy Market (IEM). The current platform needs further enhancements, so that it is able to sustain the vision expressed above. TP Vision workstreams are the following, GUI improvement, implementation of integrated reporting (for missing data overviews and data quality improvement) and implementation of new publication of data driven by implementation of Guidelines (Network codes).
