Management Controller
The Management Controller at Haulogy is part of the Finance/Accounting team, which currently consists of 4 people. The future Management Controller will report to the CFO. You will be required to work in Nivelles two to three days a week and work from home on the other days per week – a great way to balance your private and professional life!
Scope of Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute towards the integration of the lead-to-cash process chain, unifying client contractual documentation with the cost accounting and project management systems
- Contribute towards financial planning, budgeting and controlling processes including budget control and cash requirement monitoring. Example: order-book based financial forecasting.
- Develop meaningful and efficient operating reporting and financial management processes, key metrics and reporting routines. Example: divisional reporting framework, development of SaaS-oriented KPI tools.
- Financial customer relationship management in close cooperation with the responsible project manager – contractual follow-up, invoice issue and collection and project controlling
- Back-up deputy capability for other Finance/Accounting team members.
- Active team support in the management and stakeholder reporting processes, monthly and annual closing of accounting books, reporting data collection (timesheets, work-in-progress, project milestone information), consistent and efficient ERP-based processing, data quality check process, performance, risks and opportunities analysis, issuing recommendations, reporting presentation preparation.
- Coordination of documentation tools and processes covering the corporate information filing system, synthesizing customer contract information and supporting audit and due diligence processes.
- Active participation in migration, integration and transition processes, such as those resulting from organizational changes or new IT systems.
Skillset & Experience
- Academic or specialized professional training degree in business (financial) administration, including accounting
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in corresponding positions covering: accounting, controlling, corporate law and taxation, management, IT systems, financial modelling and reporting.
- Relevant business experience (software services or similar project-based business models) with a reasonable understand of internal company workings and business processes.
- Experience using ERP-systems (preferably the Odoo ERP/business suite), MS Office / Google Workspace software, advanced Excel-skills, experience with project management and CRM systems helpful
- Practical accounting experience within the scope of Belgian GAAP, IFRS and consolidated accounts is desirable but not mandatory
- Professional fluency in French and English, Flemish / Dutch desirable
- Aware and compliant within legal, regulatory and procedural environments
