Your role as Backoffice Employee (Planning)
As a Backoffice Employee (Planning) you will play a vital role in developing, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of products while optimizing resources and maintaining high-quality standards. This role acts as a bridge between sales, sourcing, operations, and logistics, ensuring production activities are aligned with customer demand and business objectives. It also requires balancing short shelf-life constraints, seasonal supply fluctuations, and operational efficiency, while supporting food safety, quality, and continuous improvement objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update daily and weekly production schedules that align with sales forecasts and customer orders.
- Balance production capacity with demand to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Adjust plans proactively in response to supply disruptions, urgent orders, or quality issues.
- Issue daily/weekly production plans to manufacturing teams.
- Act as the central contact point between production, sourcing, logistics, sales, and quality departments.
- Clearly communicate schedules, priorities, and changes to all stakeholders.
- Track progress of production orders and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems for production planning, yields, and inventory.
- Propose process improvements for better forecasting, planning, and productivity.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sustainability and reduce costs.
What you bring
- Completed vocational education (MBO level) in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong organizational , analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP is an advantage) and MS Excel.
- Accurate, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken (Dutch, German or other languages is an advantage).
- Flexible mindset and willingness to occasionally support weekend duties.
- As our location is in Waddinxveen, it is important that you are eligible to work in the Netherlands without sponsorship and that you have your own means of transport.
