This role is responsible for managing and growing profitable distribution of Duvel Moortgat brands across the North of the United Kingdom. The applicant will be responsible for maintaining relationships with key accounts in the North across both the on and off trade, managing regional wholesalers and independent accounts in key cities, researching and developing pitches and strategies for wholesalers and accounts, and assisting in the day-to-day administration of the sales functions. The role will work closely with stakeholders across the business to develop and execute marketing and brand promotion strategies, working to set budgets and timescales.
Our tasting profile:
- Sales: Managing and developing relationships with key accounts and wholesalers in order to grow distribution and improve profitability. Managing relationships with national wholesaler sales teams and presenting brands and marketing support. Supporting the sales team in prospecting and tendering to regional and national groups.
- Marketing: Working with the sales team and Marketing Manager to develop and execute brand development strategies with wholesalers and accounts. Analysing and providing feedback on the effectiveness of specific campaigns and strategies.
- Reporting: Processing data to create reports on sales, distribution, marketing and promotional activities.
- Administrative: Supporting distribution of Duvel Moortgat products by carrying out the requisite administration as required by wholesalers and accounts. This will include quantitative and qualitative, as well as financial data.
- The role will be home based in the North of the UK, with regular travel in the region to meet and propose to wholesalers and accounts. There will also be the need to travel biweekly to the London Head Office.
- The role will report to the UK General Manager. There will be close collaboration with the Marketing Manager to facilitate marketing strategies for national and regional accounts. It will also collaborate with the Head of Finance and Operations to maximise profitability, ensuring costs are minimised and budgets are spent effectively.
Key functions:
- Account management functions: Reporting, processing data, using feedback to create growth strategies, relationship management with wholesale and account representatives.
- Commercial functions: Turnover figures, volume figures, profitability.
- Budget functions: Marketing and investment budgets, POS budgets, technical services budgets.
Your ingredients:
- Strong relationship skills to manage wholesalers and accounts, and work with sales representatives at an account level.
- Strong commercial skills and ability to analyse data and budgets to develop the best, most cost-effective solutions.
- Good organisation to balance a wide diversity of tasks and relationships simultaneously. Project management skills to develop and execute projects and campaigns with internal and external stakeholders.
- A strong working knowledge of the UK beer market and competitor brands.
- Marketing skills, in order to develop and assist in executing strong campaigns with maximum possible ROI.
- Proficiency with data and presentation software (Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and hardware (phone and computer use).
- Passion for quality beer.
- Motivation to maximise profitable distribution, strive for success and manage a wide range of relationships.
- Resilience to overcome obstacles, seek out opportunities and always present a positive attitude.
- A full UK driving license.
