ABOUT AMPLE PROGRAMME
EIT Food has been funded by the Citi Foundation to enhance food security in European countries. EIT Food was chosen from over 1,000 submissions across 80 countries.
The funding will go to EIT Food’s new social innovation and entrepreneurship programme: The Ample Programme.
The Ample Programme aims to improve food security and accessibility working with underrepresented communities.
We work with collaborative spaces where communities can grow food and create new businesses.
We help scale healthier more affordable food.
We support local entrepreneurs and help create new employment opportunities for under-represented groups.
There are 3 key pillars that guide the programme: community, business, and learning.
- Community & Learning: EIT Food and Citi Foundation will collaborate closely with cooperatives and non governmental organisations to help low-income communities access nutritious foods, and support job creation in the agrifood industry
- Business: agrifood startups or small businesses will be able to access to a boost voucher and training to improve food security in their value chain.
The programme started in October 2023 in Madrid and will start in Warsaw on 1 August 2024. Both city programmes will run until 30 September 2025.
EIT Food and Citi Foundation starting the new Ample Programme - EIT Food
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Community Outreach Officer is responsible for the coordination of the AMPLE programme, created by EIT Food and Citi Foundation, in Warsaw and the surrounding region. We are looking for a professional who is able to recruit our target audience (vulnerable communities and agrifood companies/startups) and maintain long-lasting relationships with relevant stakeholders to create a lasting legacy for the programme.
The professional must also have strong project management skills, such as managing the creation of new materials and coordinating the delivery of training and events. He/she should also have the analytical skills to evaluate and report to the Programme and Project Managers on the status of the programme and the success of its activities.
The Community Outreach Officer will work in and with the EIT Food AMPLE Team and other partners and stakeholders during project implementation.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute scoping campaigns and help select target audience (vulnerable communities and agrifood SMEs/startups) to engage with the purpose of the programme
- Collaborate in the design and development of teaching materials for training courses for vulnerable communities
- Coordinate and promote events considering timelines and budget
- Develop the AMPLE programme activities in consultation with the participating partners
- Inform, connect and liaise with local participants/hubs to ensure effective engagement and recruitment to the AMPLE programme.
- Collaborate closely with EIT Food Ample team and other partners.
- Regularly monitor and report expected outcomes and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- You have relevant working experience in the area of community engagement, and outreach programmes
- You have demonstrated your ability to work collaboratively in multinational teams, contributing to the success of the team
- You have proven ability to work independently
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You are fluent in Polish and English (both spoken and written) and preferably another language
- Experience in project management and working with multiple stakeholders

LOCATION & TRAVEL FREQUENCY
The position is based in Warsaw (Poland) and requires occasional travel within Europe.
