Role Description:
- Develop, manage, and control project budgets; conduct regular cost estimations and financial forecasts.
- Analyze costs, variances, and budget trends to identify optimization opportunities; monitor monthly project budget results against the established budget.
- Conduct cost validation, analyze deviations, and report findings to the project control manager.
- Collaborate with various project teams to ensure effective cost management; participate in cost reviews and generate cost control reports.
- Oversee daily operations of project finances, including both domestic and foreign payments; manage debt financing and service payments with contractors.
- Coordinate with plant controlling/accounting departments and OpCo for mutually beneficial solutions regarding costs and time investments.
- Implement tracking and control systems to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Direct financial audits for the project, providing recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Prepare financial analyses for various decisions such as contract negotiations and investments, leveraging financial ratios like NPV, ROI, EV.
- Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- A recognized degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in cost control, cost estimation, and project finance management, preferably within large-scale projects (€500 million+). Experience in the construction of manufacturing and process facilities is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of project cost estimation methodologies and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and robust accounting acumen. Proficiency in financial management software is essential
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating the capability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Recent aptitude in relevant control tools utilized by Holcim and knowledge of Primavera is a distinct advantage.
- Results-driven, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to adhere to tight deadlines.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- Availability to relocate to Mons, Belgium.
